Jason Cercone Calls Speed Networking Event at The Fairmont-Pittsburgh a Huge Success

June 2, 2010 - PRLog -- PITTSBURGH - Jason Cercone, Co-Founder, CEO, and Principal Marketing Consultant of LinXone Solutions, attended Speed Networking at the Fairmont-Pittsburgh on Tuesday, June 1st. The event took place in the Grand Ballroom at the luxurious new hotel in Downtown Pittsburgh and brought together several people from various industries ready to share ideas, leads, and referrals, and interact in a laid-back atmosphere.

"This was my first Speed Networking event and I'm already looking forward to the next one," Cercone said. "I made some great contacts tonight and was able to catch up with some people I hadn't seen in a while. The format was a lot of fun and provided a great opportunity to meet a large amount of people."

Speed Networking's format is very similar to "speed dating." Each person sat across a table from another individual and both parties had four minutes to discuss who they are, what they do, what they're looking to accomplish, and how the person on the other side of the table can help. When the four minutes expired, everyone shifted seats and repeated the process.

"I've been to several networking functions, but never one as unique and enjoyable as Speed Networking," Cercone recalled. "It was a great way to share and gain insight on business and start building important relationships."

Speed Networking was closed with a presentation on the importance of social media by Dave Nelsen, a social media expert and President of Dialog Consulting Group. Nelsen shared some must-know principles of social media that left the audience with something new to implement.

"I think it was hard to walk away from that presentation without at least one new initiative to put into social media practice," Cercone stated. "I learned something new about Twitter that I'll be using immediately!"

The event was organized and conducted by Marben Bland, an entrepreneur who owns Chandler Partners in Pittsburgh. Bland carries a strong dedication towards bringing professionals together in a relaxed atmosphere, which set the tone for everyone to feel comfortable and get to know one another.

"Marben did a fantastic job organizing and hosting this event," Cercone concluded. "He showed he has a genuine care for the success of everyone that was part of this event. I look forward to continuing to build a solid business relationship with Marben and attending more events like this in the future."
