Deschutes River | Fly Fishing Report | May 26-28th

Deschutes River Fly Fishing Report 2010-Salmon fly hatch came back in force. Fishing had a little slow down on the last of trip, we thought the big bugs may have been done for the season.

May 30, 2010 - PRLog -- This trip was our fourth trip on the Deschutes River this season.Very good fishing this 3 day stretch, the salmon fly made a return.

The salmon fly return should be all but over, so it is about time for the caddis fly, and may fly to soon come into play.... Another note on this last trip, we found pressure on the water has definitely increased. With the news of great fishing on the Deschutes, being spread by everyone. The avid and not so avid, headed to the hot spot in the Northwest. Although the camps and fishing holes were not so private, the fishing was terrific.  Most of our fish were caught on top water, not many  were interested in taking the dropper.

We are talking about offering an extra date over on the Grand Ronde.  June 13th-15th.  This fishery about that time would be coming into its prime.  River conditions should be great and this is another river that offers the “big bug” experience.  Although not as big of hatch as the Deschutes, its stone fly hatch is more than impressive.

So Grab your rods and a few friends and come experience the Grand Ronde with us.
