C.E.O. & Designer, Benora Paper + Ink

As the Chief Executive Officer and Designer of Benora Paper + Ink, a newly launched manufacturer of stylish stationary and gifts, Bonnie Lenora Chambers inspires multicultural women across the globe to embrace the lost art of etiquette and personal communication. Fueled by her creative vision, and appreciation for culture, history and refined tastes, she offers the tools and tips needed to make communication in a modern, fast-paced society more meaningful, memorable and stylish, and to reignite a greater sense of friendship and sisterhood through thoughtful, handwritten exchanges.

Prior to launching Benora Paper + Ink, Chambers spent 15 years working with companies across the United States to provide high-quality design and multimedia solutions uniquely aligned with her clients’ core messaging and business goals. Her high impact marketing and sales presentations and other services greatly contributed to the success of a number of profitable enterprises, including LaSeviance Salon & Spa, Sweet Success Bakery, Edgy of Atlanta, Inc, Kids Time Boutique, Day Star Academy and NaTasha’s.

In 2009, Chambers was inspired to marry her expertise and passion for design with her commitment to encouraging girls and women of all ages to reach their goals and live their dreams. As a young girl who struggled with low self-esteem, Chambers knew firsthand the power of true friendship, heartfelt communication and positive messaging and their role in empowering young women to overcome challenges and build self-confidence. She quickly began work on an artful collection of stationary that emphasized these values and philosophies, and Benora Paper + Ink was soon born.

Benora Paper + Ink products are distinguished by their inspirational messages and illustrations of sisterhood and multicultural history and heritage. As the descendent of European, African and American Indian ancestors, Chambers is passionate about her own cultural legacy, and champions diversity, inclusion and cultural pride. She uses her collection to unite and inspire women of color, and to share and celebrate their beauty, contributions and unique journeys and stories with the world. Her poignant, compelling and heartwarming images remind women of color that they are special and valuable to society, and encourage them to reach out to each other, celebrate each other and strive to make a positive and indelible impression on the lives of others.

Chambers’ collection includes stationary and gifts ideal for every occasion, milestone and rite of passage, as well as eco-friendly products, and high-end designs featuring 100% cotton and textured paper. Additionally, as the art of writing thank you notes, apologies, congratulations, and sending invitations are the pillars of etiquette and social graces, Chambers offers interactive etiquette workshops as part of her business model. Her workshops, tailored  for businesses, schools and social and nonprofit organizations, illustrate the important role etiquette plays in modern society, and provide instruction in decorum, protocol and professionalism. Chambers often reminds attendees that writing a thank you note is no less time consuming than writing an email, but will make a longer lasting impression. She also shares these types of etiquette tips on her blog, Et-i-kit-ology.

Bonnie Lenora Chambers is deeply involved in her industry and her community. She is a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP), American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) and the Women of Color Action Network (WCAN). Additionally, she regularly volunteers her time and talents to the Virtuous Girls Youth Group, Girls for Change, Taproot Foundation and the Women’s Initiative for Self Employment Conference.
