May 18, 2010 - PRLog -- John Barbour is the only person in the history of TV to win emmys for both Information News shows and entertainment shows! He has won five altogether, including three in a row as the media critic for NBC out of Los Angeles when he also doubled as the film critic for Los angeles Magazine for ten years. He also won a Golden Mike for journalistic commentary on what is now the fox station in LA. He is primarily known as the Godfather of reality TV as the creator, co-Host, co-Producer, and principal writer of 'Real People,' the number one show in TV for the two years he ran it, and the show that started this reality craze! But history will remember him mainly for 'The Garrison Tapes,' the award-winning, highly praised documentary about the JFK assassination. While Oliver Stone's 'JFK' with Kevin Costner was a fictionalized telling of Jim Garrison's story, John had the only in-depth interview with the former New Orlean's DA who tried to bring Clay shaw to trial for conspiracy in the murder that changed America and the world. and while Stone's film received enormous coverage, John's must-see film has been almost blacked out here.
