Local station picks up Alex Jones show while refusing to work deal to keep Late Night in the Midlan

July 1, 2011 - PRLog -- woic 1230 am in Columbia,SC picks up the Alex Jones show while refusing to work deal to keep Late Night in the Midlands, Alex Jones who has been a radio show host, actor and filmmaker. His syndicated news/talk show The Alex Jones Show, airs via the Genesis Communication Network over 60 AM, FM, and shortwave radio stations across the United States and on the Internet. woic manager Mark Fitzmayer was not available for comment. Michael Vara how ever said "" I asked Mark once about making this a permanent thing and asked what they can do to help make that happen"" Michael Vara said he was directed to contact Frank a substation manager who showed no interest because he was making $300.00 a month off a show that really was helping them more than it ever did me. When Michael was asked if he is bitter he said "" no I am happy they chose to bring a show of truth to replace me instead of some big mouth no it all like Randy Rhodes , Hell I love Alex Jones and I will continue to listen to him on his website """  Late Night in the Midlands started in 2008 on Internet radio, created , produced and hosted by Michael Vara, in Dec of 2011 they brought Late Night in the Midlands to woic and it lasted all of 6 months with great feedback from the local & National level but it would seem woic 1230 am had a sucker who would boost their ratings and when Michael Vara found that woic was not going to meet him half way Michael picked up his show of over a million listeners a night back to the Internet where it started.After hearing the last show on woic 1230am on June 29-30 it is clear shows like Alex Jones & Michael Vara's Late Night in the Midlands is what the people want, now imagine if woic 1230am had both these shows on their station ! Now that would be a station worth listening to and a management team that know what the people want.
