This Week’s TV: Another Syed to Marc Elliott in EastEnders

Also in this week’s issue, new face Douglas Booth stars as Boy George in a film that charts the rise of the Culture Club singer as part of the BBC’s Eighties season. Another show in the season sees Jodie Whittaker play a mum whose marriage is on the rocks in Royal Wedding.

Ruth Wilson plays a psychopath in Luther, and Ricky Whittle chats about Calvin’s exit from Hollyoaks. James Thornton reflects on the repercussions of John Barton’s indiscretion with Eve in Emmerdale, and Tim Kang talks about The Mentalist. Meanwhile, David Dickinson explains why his chat show will be different, and Matt Tebbutt and Jean-Christophe Novelli do battle in Family Food Fight.

In the soaps, Stacey panics in EastEnders when it looks like she’s going into labour early, and Tracy frames Gail in Corrie. Bob’s affair with Gennie is exposed in Emmerdale, and Calvin is killed on his wedding day in Hollyoaks. Julia offers Daniel a partnership in Doctors. Toadie shuns his ex in Neighbours, and Hugo makes a stunning return in Home And Away.
