Arbitrary Waveform Generator and Frequency Counter

(www.GAOTek.com) has released its USB based waveform generator and frequency counter which utilizes DDS technology and boasts high frequency accuracy, waveform resolution and reliability and wide software support. It generates regular waveforms such as Sine, Square, Triangle, Saw-tooth, TTL, white Noise, Gauss Noise, Trapezoid, Exponent, AM and FM. Parameters such as amplitude, frequency and offset are programmable.
GAO Tek Inc.'s arbitrary waveform generator, model 3005, includes one channel of arbitrary waveform output, 8 bits output, and synchronized signal output and also has two input channels for counter/frequency measurement, 8 bits input and external trigger input. The waveform generator and frequency counter can read waveform data files produced by Tektronix oscilloscopes or Tektronix waveform editor software. A computer transfers the waveform data into the memory of the signal generator via USB bus which in turn sends the period waveform data to the DAC circuits. The unit ships with a SDK and an API and can be easily integrated with other auto-measuring systems.
