By: Dataxis Intelligence ITV’s television advertising revenues rose 8% in Q1 and are expected to be up 22% in Q2. However, the company stressed the fact that ad revenue growth for the first half should be seen in the context of declines of 15% for the equivalent period in 2009. The expected growth also reflects the impact of the World Cup. ITV added that the year-on-year comparators should be more challenging into the second half, and that the UK advertising market is also highly exposed to the uncertain economic outlook post-election.
