This newest version features a number of enhancements including the ability to work with playlists consisting of SD, HDV and full HD clips that are automatically up-scaled on output. Magicsoft Playout 4.5.9 runs on Windows platforms using either Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7. Magicsoft Playout 4.5.9 uses any of the DeckLink or Intensity line of the video cards manufactured by Blackmagic Design. Additional new software features of version 4.5.9 include Station Logo support, WMV file support (for SD and HD) and MPEG4-AVC support (with SD and HD as .mts containers.) Magicsoft Playout boasts a Client-Server architecture. This architecture adds noticeable advantages with regards to stability and usability. For example, the Server controls the output on the DeckLink ideo card and Clients manage the playlists that are being output. This allows for better CPU balancing with today's multi-core CPU systems. Additionally, individual clips are verified in the client application before being accepted for playout Finally, the user can have more than one client started permitting dynamic change from playlist to playlist.
