Galilee & Golan Heights – 3 days Day 1 - Drive along the Sea of Galilee and through the Golan Heights to the Gamla Nature Reserve. Discover the rare Griffon vulture and the story of Gamla, the "Massada" of the north. Hike down one of the stunning basalt canyons. Day 2 - Tour Ka'alat Nimrod, the Crusader fortress overlooking the Hula Valley. Hike along the streams in the Banias Nature Reserve. The Banias River one of the three sources of the Jordan River, and observe the spectacular Banias Waterfall. View Mt. Hermon. Experience Middle-Eastern hospitality at the Druze Village. Kayak down the Jordan River (May - October) or bird watching at Hula Valley (Oct – April) Day 3 - Hike through the lush green Mediterranean flora of the Western Galilee gorges, Kziv or Betzet Stream trails. Visit the northwestern corner point of Israel, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the "Head of the Grotto", Rosh HaNikra. ------------------------------------------------------------ Upper Galilee crossing for hikers – 3 days A combination of nature hiking throughout the Galilee's beautiful streams and mountains and socializing. Included are a tour in Safed and visits to important historical sites. Day 1 - Drive north to Achziv, short walk along the magical shore and beach to Achziv Bridge where the story "Night of the Bridges" will be told. Drive through the thicket landscape of the Mediterranean Sea to Goren Park. Hike the deep canyon of Caziv Stream near flowing water and clear pools in which we'll have time to swim in and enjoy. Ascent from Caziv Stream to the impressive Monfor fortress. Day 2 - Day tour through Mount Meron reserve. Drive to Chorfesh Village and to Nebi Sabalan site – the most sacred sites of the Druze religion. Acquaintance with the Druze culture and religion and visit observation point at the top of Zvul Mountain. Descent through dense thicket grove to the springs of Haviz Stream and ascent via the upper channel of Caziv Stream up to foot of Mount Meron. Short drive to the top where we will hike a short trail with the most spectacular views. Day 3 - Drive to Safed – one of the four holy cities in Israel. Tour through the alleys and synagogues of Safed's Jewish Quarter. Hike to the flowing water and clear pools of the deep Amud Stream. Lastly, a drive to the Kinneret - swim under the waterfall flowing directly to the Kinneret. ------------------------------------------------------------ Massada, Ein-Gedi, Dead Sea for hikers – 2 days Day 1 - Visit the lush oasis of Ein Gedi and hike along David River to visit the "Lovers' Cave" and Shulamit Waterfall where you will be able to observe hyrax and ibex in their surroundings. Continue to the Dead Sea for a unique bathing experience at the lowest point of earth. Day 2 - Hike up the Snake Path to the Herodian Fortress Massada and see the Roman Bathhouse, cisterns and the ancient synagogue. Comprehensive guided tour, telling the riveting story and events unfolding here during 2000 BC Hike through one of the canyons in the Judean Desert. ------------------------------------------------------------ Negev Desert & Red Sea/Wonders of Eilat- 4 days - Day 1 - Drive south passing Beer Sheva to Sde Boker. Hike Ein Ovdat one of the Negev most beautiful canyons. Visit Ovdat, the ancient Nabatean city built in the second century B.C. Day 2 - Hike for 3-4 hours through the Ramon Crater - one of the most unique natural wonders in the world. End the day with an afternoon camel ride at Shaharut, desert experience center. Day 3 - Trip to the beautiful and high sand dunes in Ovda Valley. Drive through the Ovda Valley along the Israeli/Egyptian border. Hike the magnificent Red Canyon. See the Moon Valley, and the Gulf of Eilat. In the afternoon, snorkel amongst the coral reefs in the Red Sea. Day 4 - Exciting walking trip along Gershon Stream. Ascent via Gershon hillside to observation point capturing the Sinai Mountains and the Egyptian border. Ascent through the colorful rocky landscape of Gershon Stream with a cross an especially narrow and exceptionally stirring segment. Drive to Eilat for a dip in the Red Sea and return drive north to Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. ------------------------------------------------------------ Old City of Jerusalem & Mt of Olives for hikers- 1 day - A full day walking tour of Mount of Olives, City of David and the Old City of Jerusalem from archaeological, biblical and historical perspectives. Enter the Orient on the winding paths and bazaar-filled streets of the Old City! We will open with a spectacular observation point from Mount of Olives. We will the descend through the beautifully situated cemetery and churches located on the foot of the mountain and continue to Yehoshafat Valley and the graves dating from the 2nd Temple near Kidron Stream. We will then visit the City of David for an emotional tour of "where it all began". Underground tour and walk through the water-filled aqueduct. Walk through Dung Gate to the Western Wall, Jewish and Christian Quarters and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. End tour at the colorful market of the Old City near Jaffa Gate.
