But the Flip Slide HD is still quite a surprise in many ways.

On the front you’ll find a large 3 inch resistive touch display that is home to all the devices controls (previously physical buttons were used). The Flip Slide HD also slides open to reveal a capacitive touch slide where you can swipe through movies you have captured.
Obviously the big feature here is that pop-up three-inch screen — when folded down and in record mode, it’s a resistive touchscreen version of the Flip Mino button layout, but when it’s time to play back you can pop it open for easy viewing. Thankfully, it’s got a headphone jack in addition to stereo speakers and HDMI out, so you don’t have to annoy everyone around you during playback. Camera-wise, the Slide is identical to the Flip Mino HD, so you’re getting 720p video with no image stabilization, although storage has been bumped to 16GB for four hours of record time and 12 hours of compressed video storage.

All of which offer better lenses, better sensors, and image stabilization.

Price wise, the Flip Slide HD costs $279 which seems a little on the high side. Compare that to some other digital cameras that have better lenses, large screens and the ability to be used as a camera, this might make you think twice about buying a Flip Slide HD. However, if you don’t mind paying $279 then you have a very easy to use camcorder that is simple to use and can easily interface with your computer and services such as Youtube.
Definitely you can use FlipShare software(that’s free but has limitations) to make home movies by assembling clips you had already made and adding titles and credits.
