Follow on Google News | Company Caters to Restaurants Looking to Improve Service, Satisfy CustomersMenuDrive is an affordable, user-friendly software program that gives any restaurant the power to display its menu online, and allows customers full control of ordering from it.
MenuDrive (http://www.menudrive.com) How MenuDrive works: Customers place their order, and enter their pickup, delivery and secure credit card information. Orders are then sent to a store’s fax machine, email address or computer and received within 10 seconds. Workers prepare the order and once it is complete – customers are on their way. Who is using MenuDrive: • Al Haulman, successful pizza chain owner in Central PA. “The process was very easy to set up. All I had to do was provide a menu and move the fax machine next to our prep station,” Haulman says. “The order receiving process is so straight forward that we have not had any issues or missed an order yet.” Al’s Pizza has increased its carryout order-taking efficiency by nearly 90 percent and Haulman says employee morale has also increased. • Jason Winters, owner of Cuppy’s Coffee and Catering in Mechanicsburg, PA. “Business has exploded,” Winters says. “The software paid for itself during the first two weeks and customers were mainly new ones.” Winters says many of those customers have become regular weekly orders. Major pizza chains across the country have been using online ordering with great success over the past few years. In May 2008, Papa John’s International reached for than one billion dollars in online ordering sales. According to the National Restaurant Association, 57 percent of adults use the internet research restaurants. “With numbers like that, it only makes sense that all restaurants, no matter how big or small they are, should be able to compete on the same playing field,” Adrian Fang, MenuDrive software creator, said. “We took that into account when developing this program, and came up with an extremely affordable way for any sized restaurant to have online ordering capabilities.” Fang, Cruzstar’s President and CEO, came up with the idea for MenuDrive a few years ago after listening to his co-workers vent their frustration over managing food orders for sales meetings. At the time, Fang was in charge of developing interactive e-learning material for more than 65,000 employees of the Social Security Administration. With experience in IT, web design and video interactivity, Fang blended his working knowledge of technology to establish Cruzstar. His web-based ordering technology has now been used by businesses of all sizes – from independent restaurant groups to national corporate chains. “Al’s Pizza, Cuppy’s Catering – both are great examples of how we are actively using MenuDrive to help the restaurant industry improve its services and customer relations,” Fang said. “Given that more than one in three consumers would choose online ordering if it were offered at their favorite restaurant, it is easy to see how MenuDrive can help any restaurant improve its bottom line and customer service.” You can find more information about Cruzstar at http://www.cruzstar.com.
