Beaufort Dentist to Receive Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship AWARD

April 12, 2010 - PRLog -- Beaufort dentist, Dr. Stephen Durham of Durham Dental, has received the prestigious Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship Award (FAGD).  The award is earned by only a small number of practicing dentists each year.  Currently 6% of dentists in the United States have attained this distinction.  

The rigorous 6 hour Fellowship exam, which Dr. Durham recently completed, consists of material from all dental disciplines and strongly emphasizes clinical applications of accepted dental knowledge, techniques, and procedures.

Additional requirements are that the doctor has at least 500 hours of continuing education and be a member in good standing for at least 3 years in the Academy of General Dentistry.  Dr. Durham has been a member of the AGD for 11 years.

Dr. Durham received his Fellowship award in Baltimore, MD at their annual meeting of the AGD in for July of 2009.
