April 8, 2010 - PRLog -- On Sunday, May 2 at 3 pm the riveting Re-Vital Dance Troupe from Israel comes to the Axelrod Performing Arts Center, 100 Grant Avenue, Deal Park, NJ direct from their engagement in Las Vegas.  Their thrilling stage show, “Jerusalem Forever” features sensational dancers, lighting and music! The ensemble has reached unprecedented success in Israel and abroad.

The ensemble was founded by Revital Pienica Zevulunov in 1995 and quickly became the representative dance group for the Israeli city of Petah Tikva. The ensemble soon reached unprecedented success throughout the country and in 1998 started touring internationally in the United States, Germany, Holland, France, Costa Rica and Mexico. The company has been seen at international festivals, theaters, Israeli Independence Day celebrations, and even performed a live concert on M TV Europe. In 2001, the ensemble premiered their successful musical "Jerusalem Forever" in New York, Miami and Orlando and in 2007 they premiered their show "Esther" in New York and New Jersey.

Prior to the dance performance, from 1 to 3 pm in the theater’s Gallery on Grant, audiences are welcome to meet the artist, Florence Weisz, at a free artist reception.  Florence’s three collages STONES of RESONANCE: Prague – Jerusalem – Berlin is on display thru June 30.  The collages express Florence’s fascination with a ghetto burial ground, her complicated love for Jerusalem, and her intense response to a Holocaust Memorial.

A portion of the production's proceeds will go to benefit the Jersey Shore Jewish Academy Scholarships.  Tickets are $30 adult, $25 seniors, $10 students, $72 family package for 5 seats, and $90 per person for Patrons and includes preferred seating and a special reception following the show.  Call the Axelrod Box office at 732-531-9100 ext. 142 for tickets and information.
