The unrighteous forfeit the eyes of God and see and see nothing. How, just how can you see and see nothing?

Editors Note: The unrighteous forfeit the eyes of God and see and see nothing. How, just how can you see and see nothing? If one does not see God they are more than blind. Let it be written that the blind can see if they have a heart of God. Meanwhile the very elect and those close to you as skin upon your back your kinsmen defile God and man in the flesh with a blind vision. You will never see God if you look over Him to embrace a sordid world of low things. My hands are clean and will never be soiled in the dung of human waste that is counted up as love and greed for money by the lost.

Greetings Brethren,

Peace be unto you. The most prominent and key word throughout Proverbs is wisdom. Solomon was the greatest of Israel’s wise men. Thus, wisdom was his specialty. At I Kings 3: 5-9 we see that Solomon asked the Lord to give him wisdom. Therefore, the righteous seeking wisdom and leaning on the teachings of Solomon see Truth. As we turn back to Proverbs the 1st Division we will bring up for review a bracket of scriptures 20-33 for a look at seeking wisdom. However, our primary verses will be 22, 29 and 32-33. But we suggest that you read this entire chapter for a good understanding of our present discussion and Part 1 of this series.

Proverbs 1: 22 “How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? And the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?”
Who are the simple ones in this verse? Who are the simple ones in life? These are the people that will not try to enhance and improve their quality of life by seeking after wisdom. Meanwhile are fools able to tell right from wrong? Are fools people that are not mentally disabled, dumb or stupid? Can you be a fool and not be dumb and stupid? So is a fool only someone that has a character flaw? Well can we define dumb and stupid further when we apply these two terms to a fool? Therefore, is it obvious that a man that has a low regard for knowledge is a fool? Sadly beloved there are many fools that run rampant, walking and crawling upon the earth.

Proverbs 1: 29: “For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord:”

Those that liveth and have died that disrespect and hate knowledge are in serious trouble. A hatred and disrespect for knowledge is related to the rejection of the Lord because each renders the same guilty sentence eventually. Just who lives then and now that rejects knowledge and information? Can one ever live in peace with no knowledge? All people even the mentally deranged must know something? But what do the fools know?

Proverbs 1: 32 “For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.”

What does turning away mean in this verse? Does it mean a departing or backsliding from what is right? If so then do all that liveth at some point in time know right from wrong? How can you back slide from somewhere you have never been? Meanwhile the word simple here surely means those that do not consult the voice of wisdom. No doubt beloved this careless behavior will cause their ruin in the end.

Prosperity is related to wealth. So those that reject wisdom in the use and obtaining of their wealth will also perish in their own foolishness. Wisdom no doubt is needed in all things.

Now look at our last and final verse.

1: 33 “But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.”

Here we see the attitude of the righteous man. He listened to the voice of wisdom and became secure in life. He also paved the way to Peace and Paradise.

“There was once a man who loved the Lord. He knew that he passed through a foreign land on the way home. However he knew there was work to do. But in the mean time he longed for the promised home for the righteous. He also knew that the Wisdom to get home was free. Lord knows how he described those that rejected the Wisdom to get home. But he soon realized that many did not know they existed in a foreign land as they looked upon the world as their paradise. There is no paradise gained in the world it is always lost.”
