ComScore introduces online video measurement service in Asia Pacific

April 6, 2010 - PRLog -- ComScore, the leader in measuring the digital world, has launched its Video Metrix in the Asia Pacific market place. The service is now available in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore in addition to the five markets where it already existed: USA, Canada, UK, France and Germany.

ComScore says that in each of the Asia Pacific video markets, more than 80% of home and work internet users viewed online videos during the month of January. China had the largest video viewing audience with 199 million unique viewers who viewed a total of 10.3 billion videos while Japan ranked second with 60.4 million viewers who viewed an average of more than 12.5 hours of video per viewer. Australia came in third spot with more than 10.6 million Australians viewing 934 million videos. Despite having smaller overall video viewing audiences, Singapore and Hong Kong boasted the highest penetration of video viewers among their respective Internet populations with 87.6 percent and 87.4 percent respectively.
