April 5, 2010 - PRLog -- During March, DarynKagan.com, the web’s one-stop destination for inspiring news stories that fit the theme, “Show the World What’s Possible,” featured in-depth profiles and inspiring news stories on actress Renee Zellweger, CBS News correspondent Don Teague, and Daryn’s former CNN colleague Jim Moret, among others. The site reaches a global audience that spans across six continents.

CBS News correspondent Don Teague talked to Daryn about his new book, Saved by Her Enemy, the true story of how he saved English-language translator Rafraf Barrak from certain death in Iraq. Teague and Barrak worked together in 2004, when Barrak immediately became a target of insurgents who actively sought to kidnap and kill her for working with Americans. Fearing for her life, Teague helped Barrak leave Iraq and find safety and a new life in the United States. Inside Edition chief correspondent Jim Moret talked to Daryn about his new biography, The Last Day of My Life (Phoenix Books,) in which he writes of his personal journey through depression, and the single question he asked himself on a very dark day that saved his life. Daryn shares the story of actor Renee Zellweger and what she did to thank somebody on the street for adding a few coins to her expired parking meter so she wouldn’t receive a parking ticket. See the story at bit.ly/ReneeZellwegerDarynKagan

Jim Brozina and his daughter Kristen show the world it doesn't take a lot of money or time for father and daughter to bond. One simple commitment of reading bedtime stories together for 100 consecutive nights beginning when Kristen was in 4th grade ended with 3,218 consecutive nights of story reading and Kristen’s graduation from high school. Through her parents divorce, the death of a grandparent, and her older sister going off to college, there was one constant in Kristen’s Life -- nighttime reading with her father. A good thing happened to Mark Lilly last year -- he lost his job! It didn’t seem so great at first, but Lilly soon came to realize that losing his job was just the inspiration he needed to go for his life dream of bringing farm fresh food to folks who otherwise might not have access to it. Lilly converted a school bus into a micro farmers market and in addition to taking fresh foods to remote communities, he also educates kids on the importance of fresh foods.
