April 3, 2010 - PRLog -- Our client, a major client in Italy with multiple organization hierarchies wanted to setup a leave application system that required approval from reporting heads, department heads, and management as per the employee hierarchy.

The biggest challenge was setting up the workflow that comprised of multiple workflows within a workflow.

SharePoint Experts propelled the client towards accepting the latest SharePoint technology and delivered the solution using Share Point 2007 (WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007), .NET 2.0, and MSSQL 2005.

Using the flexibility offered by SharePoint we provided Configurable approval group levels. The forms designed using InfoPath were exact replica of the existing Manual forms.

The site provided alert mechanism for sending reminders to all stakeholders whenever action took place or the request. Automatic escalation and assignment that kept track of real time scenarios.

Activity logs that kept track of Workflow history each time application is checked in or checked out.

The system was implemented well in time and required minimal employee training.

The end result was faster application processing with minimal turnaround time.
