PRLog -- Irish government has ordered RTE to offer DTT to more than 90% of population by October. RTE is still working on the commercial part of DTT but is confident on the free to air part of DTT operational for this deadline.
This deadline is to put pressure on the Eircom commercial consortium OneVision to sign an agreement with RTE and the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland. Discussions seemed blocked by financial guarantees asked by RTE. OneVision also have to reach agreements with BAI, content providers and a set-top box manufacturer.
