PRLog -- Investor AB, the industrial holding with a 40% stake in 3 Scandinavia has announced its results for the year ended December 2009, revealing a great performance for both cellcos. In fact, the report states that during 2009, the Danish and Swedish assets -operating under Hi3G Access Sweden and Hi3G Access Denmark- made together great progress with a subscriber base increase of 338,000 to reach 1,569,000. This represents an outstanding growth rate of 27% year-on-year which dwarfed by far the average market growth of 6% in both markets in the same period.
3 Scandinavia also performed well in financials as net sales rose by 13% to SEK5.8 billion in 2009, resulting to a positive EBITDA of SEK434 million. As far as Arpu is concerned, it went down by 8% to SEK348, yet the company claims that its level still clearly exceeds that of the other Nordic operators.
