The Underground Clown Goes Global

On March 13th, the eyes of the world were on Cowboy’s Stadium in Dallas. Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines fought Joshua Clottey of Ghana. Fighters from six countries were on the card. The Underground Clown was there too.

March 17, 2010 - PRLog -- In the first televised pay-per-view fight of the evening, Ireland’s John Duddy raised his record to 29-and-1 with a ten-round decision over Michael Medina of Mexico. Duddy is one of the most popular fighters in boxing. He’s also the latest member of the boxing community to ink a sponsorship deal with The Underground Clown.

“I got five hundred dollars for my first pro fight,” Duddy said at the final pre-fight press conference in Dallas. “And now they’re paying me more than that just to wear something. I like that.”

Next up for the Underground Clown: May 15th at Madison Square Garden when Paulie Malignaggi carries the Underground Clown banner into the ring against England’s Amir Khan.
