Bahá'í follower Shawn Khorassani said: “The fast from food and drink for adult Bahá'ís between sunrise and sunset was established by Baha'u'llah, the founder of the Bahá'í Faith. This is essentially a period of meditation and prayer, of spiritual recuperation, during which a believer refreshes and reinvigorates the spiritual forces latent in his or her soul. “We are opening our celebration of Naw-Ruz in Reading, Berkshire to people who want to learn more about the Bahá'í Faith.
