How To Save Hundreds Of Dollars On Your Energy Costs.

Changing to CFL (compact fluorescent light) bulbs will save approximately 75% 0f your lighting cost.

March 5, 2010 - PRLog -- easein2solar.com a site for energy conservation  and producing products , which includes one of the easiest and least expensive ways to cut your energy bill.

That is the replacing of your incandecent light bulbs with CFL (compact fluorescent light) bulbs.

After I installed them I wondered  what the difference actually was, so  I inventoried
my lighting situation. I found that we had  25 sockets that burned 100 watt  bulbs and  11 three way’s  60-100-150 watt.

I averaged out our usage and figured we were using a grand total of 335 kwh per month.

Now  the CFL’s for the most part use 25% of the energy of the old incandescent bulbs, so once I added up my wattage , I divided it by one thousand to get my kwh then I divided that by 25% to see  approximately what a difference my conversion to CFL’s would produce.

My candescent bulbs used 335 kwh minus  the CFL bulbs usage, 85 kwh=  a savings of 251 kwh per month or 3012 kwh per year. My electric rate is .10331 cents per kwh so I’m saving approximately  $311 a year. My bulbs cost me $224.68 and they're good for 6000 hours. My yearly hours add up to around 700. That’s more than eight years of savings or over $2200 Dollars. What a deal!!!

Also a  incandescent 100 watt bulb produces 52 related CO2 emissions in its life as opposed to 13 CO2 emissions produced by a CFL.

It’s easy to figure your savings using the above info.   The CFL bulbs and many other energy saving and producing items can be obtained easily at, easein2solar.com
