AdvantaPure(R) to Feature Products for Manifold Identification & Container Sealing at PDA Meeting

Feb. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- AdvantaPure is proud to be exhibiting at booth 623 during the 2010 PDA Annual Meeting, March 15-19, 2010. The PDA (Parenteral Drug Association) will host the meeting at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee, Florida. The exhibition portion of the event takes place March 15 and 16.

AdvantaPure, a leading manufacturer of high-purity tubing and single use process systems for pharmaceutical and bioprocess applications, will highlight DocuLink(TM) (patent pending), an innovative method of distinguishing silicone manifolds after installation. Manifolds are typically supplied in labeled bags, and once the manifold is removed from the bag, its identification and tracking data is separated. With DocuLink the manifold itself is labeled with a unique identification number. The label is incorporated into the manifold and never contacts the interior. Documents such as certificates of compliance and certificates of analysis relating to each particular manifold are then accessible to customers via a secure online data management site. DocuLink greatly eases the burden of document retrieval for audits and validations.

Another new technology, BioClosure(TM) Systems, will also be featured. BioClosure Systems is a complete line of container closures manufactured in a certified clean room from USP Class VI, platinum-cured silicone. They’re suitable for single or repeated use and ideal for pharmaceutical, biotech, laboratory, and other clean applications. BioClosure Systems work with flexible container systems and biobags, laboratory bottles and apparatus, and sampling and storage receptacles of glass, plastics, or metal.

Also on display will be AdvantaFlex(TM), a revolutionary biopharmaceutical grade tubing. Designed specifically for high purity fluid transfer, AdvantaFlex lasts six-to-ten times longer than similar tubing tested in peristaltic pumps. It’s heat sealable, weldable, and free of silicone oils and animal-derived ingredients. AdvantaFlex is ideal for aseptic tubing welds, as it eliminates costly aseptic connectors and multiple tubing contact surfaces.

Other AdvantaPure products, including single use systems, GammaTag(R) RFID tags used to identify and track critical process components, and a variety of flexible tubing and process hose, will be presented at the exhibit as well.
