PRLog -- Turkcell introduced 3G services six months ago in Turkey, which has been a sucess as the service has attracted over 5 million 3G subscribers till now.
Koray Öztürkler, Vice General Manager of Corporate Communications and Relations for Turkcell, said that 2.5 million of the current 5 million 3G subscribers are actively using 3G services, the others can’t use the services because of the incompatibility of their devices. He also added that its Mobile Broadband service has 300.000 subscribers, representing 65% of the Turkish Mobile Broadband market.
According to Dataxis Intelligence, Turkcell had 56% of the Turkish Mobile market in Q309, followed by Vodafone (25%) and Avea (19%).
