Philadelphia, PA-February 9, 2010- XIPWIRE is pleased to announce the donation of its Text Pledging service to the Open Source Community.  Recognizing the commitment, dedication and passion to creating truly free software that benefits everyone, XIPWIRE would like to give back to the community by facilitating text donations to several non-profit organizations.  Currently, donations can be directed to the Apache Software Foundation, Electronic Frontier Foundation, Free Software Foundation, GNOME Foundation, KDE e.V. and the Linux Foundation.

Donations can made simply by texting “oss” to 56624.

Text pledging represents an incredible opportunity for organizations to quickly and easily solicit donations for their respective causes.  XIPWIRE is waiving all fees allowing 100% of the donations to go directly to the Open Source Community.
