First Steps Is One Of The First To Use Interactive Webinars As A Teaching Tool For Geotechnics

To celebrate its 10th year in business First Steps Ltd. launched a new interactive teaching platform via webinars to help the cash strapped geotechnical and environmental industry to keep up and improve its standard of product delivery.

Feb. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- The geotechnical industry is extremely hard hit by the current recession as all geotechnical activities, which often deal with big civil engineering projects like Cross Rail and the Thames Tide Way, are closely linked to the construction industry. Under such circumstances the first budget to be cut is that for training.  Nonetheless the need for training does not reduce. To the contrary, to have that business edge which allows survival, further training and knowledge gain is essential.  To help those in these circumstances First Steps Ltd. has developed interactive webinars to cut the costs for companies to a minimum.  The title of the first webinar is Pore pressures & groundwater flow for Engineering Geologists, Geotechnical & Environmental Engineers, which has proved very popular. Others will follow shortly.
