Derek Sivers, Founder of CD Baby, Issues Praise for Zeta Vang

A very brief quote from Derek Sivers, founder of CD Baby, about "How it Feels", a track off the album White Lights Go Bang due out Q2 2010

Jan. 25, 2010 - PRLog -- Last week, in an email exchange reprinted with permission from Derek Sivers, the founder of CD-Baby, praise was found for Zeta Vang's album due out Q2 2010.

With a single already in iTunes and Amazon.com, (the title track, White Lights Go Bang), the album seems poised for success.  With multiplatinum and gold record street cred behind it (Daniel Wise, producer.  Larry Dvoskin, Co Executive Producer), the albums seems to be a surefire hit for Q2 2010.

Sivers says:

Sounds great, congrats!

I really like "How it feels"   :-)

I wish you all the best with it.

What prompted the exchange?

Sivers, whose characteristically friendly and available social media profile, led to an exchange from Zeta Vang's manager Ian McGrady asking for help in marketing the band's new 11 track, 40.1 minute album to licensors.  Because McGrady shares publishing with the artist, the process is hassle free, he says.

"We're lucky to have a major-label quality album while controlling the publishing ourselves.  I did it that way because I believe an artist should have some investment in their work."

"If there's a new model for the music industry, I'm it," says McGrady.  "Make a good album & have faith."
