By: World Music News Press Performing jazz / blues artist provide an inventive historic music venue with a musical legacy from the earliest development of New Orleans music and jazz bands. Early historical New Orleans grass roots of progressive jazz and blues dates back to the late 1800's, yet New Orleans music origins rhythm tapping music, can be traced to before the 1840's. And was played on River gambling boats. New Orleans jazz is a multi- culture music of all nationalities, musicians gather and jam any place they can. All that matters is if you can play an instrument and jam. Musicians in the French Quarter are known for teaching and sharing new music idea's and creative musical concepts. You'll find great jazz super stars among average musicians helping each other out. New Orleans Jazz is a way of life, if you're a musician you belong to one of the largest families in the world. You'll find great guitarist, pianist, saxophone players, trumpet players and brass Instruments of all kind. The drummers and conga players create great rhythms and back beat rhythms. New Orleans music is great jazz music to dance to. Over the years I have heard many great jazz and blues artist and New Orleans music help start the rock n roll movement of the late 40's and 50's. Many great artist like Elvis, Little Richard, B.B. King,Muddy Waters and other's got many of there songs style from the New Orlean deep south blues music. Even country music stars like Glen Campbell played songs like Southern Nights. Today the New Orleans Jazz movement is alive and well. It's my hope and dream, that a new great rock, blues and jazz artist named GW Williams, would come to New Orleans and play for us here. His amazing musical talent on both electric and acoustic guitar must be shared in this great city. I love his songs, Acoustic Guitar Rock N Roll Blast Off , which he plays some of the most inventive guitar playing since Stevie Ray Vaughan. His jazz talent is show cased well in this song. Also he's amazing on electric guitar playing his hit songs - Electric Rock Guitarist - Rock N Country Blues Guitar and Rock N The Blues Electric Style. Other great songs on his new album titled - ACOUSTIC BLUES, ELECTRIC ROCK,ACOUSTIC JAZZ - are songs called , Spanish Guitar Acoustic Jazz and Acoustic Guitar Blues. GW Williams is also a great singer, and sang 3 gospel songs, my favorite is a song he wrote called - On Easter Morning and another song called I know a Friend named Jesus. GW has a great voice similar in many ways to Elvis or Ricky Nelson, but man this guy can wail on a guitar. Never in my life have I heard a great guitarist like this !! The great thing about New Orleans Jazz is musicians from all walks of life come here and add to the community. Having a GW Williams in the French Quarter would be amazing at best !! # # # World Music News Press, bringing you the top music stories of artist, writers, singers and the best reviews and music news Interviews on the Internet.
