The Action Punk Band Reunite!

Ottawa's first punk band reunites, acquires new record contract and begins touring!

Jan. 18, 2010 - PRLog -- Punk pioneers The Action, "Ottawa's First Punk Band" has reformed and will be playing Mitzi’s on Feb 27th in Toronto. This will be the first time the band has played in Toronto for 30 years! The Action achieved fame and notoriety in Canada in 1977-78 and was signed to Montreco records, (owned by 60's singing star Tony Roman). The Action opened for The Ramones and The Stranglers and spent a lot of time in both Montreal and Toronto and became part of the scene doing shows with The Viletones & Teenage Head. They are currently signed to Sudden Death Records in Canada and to Rave Up Records in Europe and their new album: "The Action, Complete Punk Recordings-1977-1978" is gaining momentum worldwide!   We would love it if you could do a story on the band to raise awareness about the Feb show! Thanks so much and all the best.
