Jan. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- With the advent of on line reviews and recommendations Linkedin appears to be offering the best tool for customers, colleagues, and friends to share their experiences.  Remodel West, an eighteen year old Silicon Valley design and construction company has discovered the reputable online company, Linkedin, to simply have a way to facilitate their customers to share their experiences.  In talking with Bill Reid, owner of Remodel West, he believes that the Linkedin tool is the most reasonable way to allow our customers a voice.  "The key here is to be in a position to request a recommendation from our professional clients" says Mr. Reid.  "They way to accomplish this is by simply doing a great job and achieving customer satisfaction at the end of the project", continues Bill.  In interviewing Bill it became pretty apparent that on line recommendations build in an accountability factor while interacting with a client.  This appears to be a testament to the strength of online reviews.  Building an online reputation is the next stage of capitalizing on the internet for successful business but what's interesting is that companies genuinely have to do a good job in order to achieve the status that Remodel West has.  That being said online reviews and recommendations can also taint a company and in many cases unrightfully so.  Because the public can be so diverse in many ways it's important for potential customers of any business to review multiple sources in order to come to a decision.  Furthermore sites like Yelp have been under the microscope lately for questionable behavior in how they handle and manage reviews posted on their site by users.  Mr. Reid is not immune to these questionable practices.   "My customers have gone out of their way to post their experiences with my company only for Yelp to remove their postings.  It's been very frustrating and I refuse to succumb to Yelps aggressive tactics to get us to advertise".  
Remodel West has elected to make all their reviews on Linkedin available to the public whom join Linkedin in order for them to make an educated decision and if the like get "Linkedin" and send a message to one of Mr. Reid’s customers.
