Richard became Managing Director of T-Mobile UK in June 2009. During the previous 17 years, he held leading positions within France Telecom's Orange Group, most recently as CEO of Orange Romania. Between 2000 and 2004, he was CEO of Orange Thailand and CEO Orange Denmark. Prior to this, after joining Orange in 1992 as a senior manager in the finance function, he progressed to become Corporate Finance Director, and subsequently International Group Director of Finance. Before joining Orange, he spent 12 years with the USX/Marathon Group in various financial positions. In his early career, he was an analyst for Sedgwick plc and Lloyd's of London. Richard, 54, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants, holds a diploma in corporate finance and accounting from London Business School, and an MA honours in law from St Catharine's College, Cambridge.




Gordon Ballantyne
Sales & Service Director

Gordon joined T-Mobile UK in October 2003 and is responsible for our Customer Service & Sales Organisation (CSSO) which includes customer service, consumer and business sales and our retail and online operations.

Prior to this, he held a number of international management roles, including CEO of Pulse International (a venture capital funded technology company based in Australia), a partner with Dell Ventures (the $1.2 billion venture capital arm of Dell Corporation) and founder and director of dell.com in Europe which grew to a $5 billion business.




Srini Gopalan
Chief Marketing Officer

Srini joined T-Mobile UK in June 2009. In his role of Chief Marketing Officer, he is responsible for revenue development for the business covering customer relationship management, loyalty and retention, brand development and marketing communications.

He joins T-Mobile after spending 10 years at Capital One Bank (Europe), where he was Head of Marketing and Analysis until 2007, before being appointed Managing Director for Europe. In his time at Capital One, he built a successful challenger brand in the highly competitive financial services market.

Srini is married and his interests include cricket, blues music, reading and long-distance running




Lars Nordmark
Finance Director

Lars joined T-Mobile UK in 2007 from T-Mobile Austria where he served as a key member of the senior team and played an integral role in the TeleRing acquisition.

Prior to joining T-Mobile Austria, Lars was responsible for setting up the Functional Controlling group for T-Mobile in Western Europe, and was a key member of the international finance organisation in Bonn.

Before joining T-Mobile in March 2003, Lars spent nearly nine years with Orange at the operational level where he was, among other things, Finance Director in Denmark and Sweden.

A native of Sweden, Lars was educated in the US where he gained his MBA from the University of Iowa, while also playing tennis on scholarship.




Emin Gurdenli
Technical Director

Emin joined T-Mobile in 1990 as a member of the start-up team and helped build and launch the company's network in the UK in 1993. His wealth of experience spans R&D, service operations, engineering and network planning. Emin is responsible for all network operations in the UK and has international responsibilities for T-Mobile in Europe in the areas of radio access networks and the strategy with regards next-generation 4G technology.”

He has a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Sheffield and is married with two sons.




Mark Martin
HR Director

Mark joined T-Mobile in September 2006, from Geest, the largest chilled food manufacturing company in the world.

He spent a total of 14 years with them, with the last 8 as Group HR Director. Prior to this he worked at Unilever in a variety of HR and Marketing roles.

He has a BSc in Managerial and Administrative Studies from Aston University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development. Mark is married with two children
