It will provide the technical knowledge, training skills and course material to design, develop and deliver effective manual handling training.

The course is suitable for participants from a wide range of backgrounds. Health and safety management experience as well as training qualifications are useful but are not a pre-requisite as participants will be trained in both the technical and the training related issues

In-house courses

If you have 5 to 12 staff requiring manual handling instructor training, consider an in-house course. These can be run on your premises at your convenience with a greater focus your company handling scenarios. In-house course cost is £1950 + VAT in addition to the City & Guilds registration and certification fees of £80 + VAT per person. Thus, for a group of 10 trainees, the total cost  would be £2750 + VAT (just £275 per person)

Instructor Pack: all participants receive an exclusive instructor pack containing:
- Comprehensive course manual
- Lesson plans for suggested training courses
- CD with presentations for 1.5 hour and 3 hour handler training courses
- Useful extras such as a sample written test, a practical assessment sheet, a suggested risk assessment form and details of suppliers for manual handling training aids
