Different Colors and Uses for Silicone Wristbands

No one could walk down the street without seeing one of those yellow bands around a wrist or two. More than 70 million and counting were sold raising more than $5 million for Armstrong’s cause. However, these days silicone wristbands are everywhere. Different colors of silicon wristbands are used for any number of reasons now. Many charities still use them to increase awareness for their own causes. From pink wristbands for breast cancer awareness to red silicone wristbands for AIDS and of course, the ever popular yellow for cancer.
But many other groups are also using the silicone wristband to get the word out about their own organization. Churches, businesses, community projects all use these different colored wristbands to spread the word about their own events or organizations. And if used effectively, they can raise money for their own causes or their groups because the silicone wristband is inexpensive as well as durable and long lasting.
Anybody can buy silicone wristbands. They are often given out as party favors to mark a special occasion such as weddings or sweet 16 birthday parties. Some people even wear them just because they like them.
There are a number of companies online that sell and customize any and all possible colors of silicone wristbands. Some require a minimum purchase, however, not all do. It’s also a good idea to make sure they are selling 100 percent silicone. There are some rubber wristbands on the market which are made of a mixture of silicone and other materials. Although cheaper, there’s more of a chance these wristbands will break, especially if there is a logo or design embossed on the band.
