By: dtt-net.com Clinton said in a letter hi is grateful to Mengjiqi for the musical sheet, named ‘Prince of Peace’. “… I wanted to thank him. Please extend my best wishes to Mendi,” the former US president wrote in a letter sent to Mengjiqi’s manager. The composer, former student of prominent Polish Professor Krzysztof Penderecki, is a well known Kosovo national artist and teaches classical music at the University of Prishtina. He has named the composition dedicated to Bill Clinton “The Prince of Peace”, a title usually used to describe figures such as Jesus Christ. The public so far is familiar only with the first part of the work, called ‘Populus’. The other two parts are not made public yet by the composer. Mengjiqi told dtt-net.com plans are underway to organize a large gala in New York City to premiere the composition, an event that would bring in many figures of the government, foreign diplomats in the US and Bill Clinton. Mengjiqi’s musical sheet is another appreciation of Kosovo Albanians to Bill Clinton. One of the biggest avenues in Kosovo capital, Prishtina, is also named after the former US president, while a bronze statue of the man himself was inaugurated in the city last October. Clinton was present at the unveiling. http://www.mmengjiqi.blogspot.com/ End
