Dec. 14, 2009 - PRLog -- TheGentlemanRacer.com started life as a humble blog following the automotive adventures of its founder Michael Satterfield, but since renaming the site (formally MP Motoring Life) to TheGentlemanRacer.com and revamping the look and content the site has seen new growth from all over the world. The site focuses on more offbeat news and events in the automotive world as well as unique content made by TheGentlemanRacer.com’s team. From building their project Budget Elise (a 1974 Fiat X1/9) that will be ripping around tracks by summer 2010, to exploring the back roads of America there is always some kind of adventure the guys are on.

The site has grown quickly in the last four months since the re-launch, going from just a few visitors a day to thousands of visitors from over 47 countries. “We are very popular in the US, with our biggest following in Los Angeles, Detroit, San Francisco, Miami, and New York City. But we have made some major impacts in the Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America. Our biggest audience overseas is London, but I think that has to do with the face that we have a Classic Mini Cooper that we use for a number of our events and stories; such as our trip down the California stretch of Route 66”. TheGentlemanRacer.com has used Social Media as a launch pad to help grow the site. The parent company Satterfield Group specializes in marketing and public relations for small businesses in Southern California. Michael went to explain “The site really did just start off as a blog about my own car adventures, but I saw that there was a lot more we could do with it so we did”. TheGentlemanRacer.com focuses not just on automotive news, but really on the classic pre-70’s race cars and coach built classics that are often forgotten about here in the states. There are countless sites for Muscle Cars and Hot Rods, and those are great, we love them because they are uniquely American. But there is still a strong following for guys in tweed that dream of a MGA coupe and winding back road somewhere. TheGentlemanRacers.com’s staff is not made of old men remembering their youth in England, but a group of guys under 30 that just love all things on wheels.
