Gene Therapy Review is pleased to announce the launch of its first print edition

The Gene Therapy Review announces both the release of its first print edition, featuring all the educational articles submitted to the genetherapyreview.com website, and its partnership with EBSCO publishing.

Dec. 11, 2009 - PRLog -- The Gene Therapy Review was first launched in 2008 as an online source of information on all aspects of gene therapy with sections comprising information on gene therapy research, news, disease targets, patient resources and companies offering services to the gene therapy community. It then further featured a clinical trials database detailing all gene therapy clinical procedures completed to date.

Consequently, the Gene Therapy Review started to invite scientists to submit review articles on any aspect of gene therapy research, which was to prove an immediate success with researchers in the field. Then in February 2009, an agreement was signed with the EBSCO publishing group, with a view to include the submitted articles on the EBSCOhost databases, which are distributed to school, college, university, hospital, governmental, corporate and public libraries worldwide.

The print edition of the Gene Therapy Review will be published on a biannual basis and will include all the educational content submitted to the genetherapyreview.com website by members of the scientific community. Editor-in-Chief of the GTR, Dr Michael Roberts explains "This is a very exciting period for us. We were honoured when EBSCO publishing approached us and asked to include our content on their databases. From then it seemed like a natural progression to prepare a print edition and move towards becoming a peer-reviewed journal with a view to be included in journal databases such as PubMed."

Users can download GTR articles in PDF for free, or can subscribe to the print edition on the genetherapyreview.com website.
