Dec. 10, 2009 - PRLog -- The American Teleservices Association (ATA) demonstrated that the holiday spirit is alive and well in DFW.

The ATA South Central chapter meeting was hosted on December 3rd at the La Cima Club in Las Colinas.  Guests were treated to a private lunch buffet, dessert bar and even more splendid views of the city.

The National president of the ATA, Tim Searcy, was the guest speaker. Tim addressed the group and offered significant insight to the FCC/FTC legislative process and federal agendas for 2010.  Mr. Searcy was also on hand to deliver a special thanks to Don Williams, President and Owner of Alliance Direct Marketing Services, for his 3 year term as the ATA South Central chapter president.  Mr. Williams was presented with an award and gift to show appreciation for his outstanding effort over the years.

South Central chapter board members were also recognized including Laurie Alm, President of Motivated Incentives; Stephen Dawson, Director of Communication & Strategic Planning for The Heritage Company; Susan Arledge, Principal for Arledge Partners; Deborah Lovell, President On Your Market; John Tusa, Vice President of Compliance for Etech, and Jim Iyoob, Vice President of Global Development for Etech.

Call center leaders and vendors alike participated in the special holiday session.  One of the many focuses of the ATA is to help promote a positive image of the call center industry.  ATA members and companies around the globe have taken this to heart and have successfully championed community service events that demonstrate "call centers do care".  The executives attending the December 3rd meeting showed their support for the community by donating canned goods to the Red Bag Food Drive, hosted by Altrusa DFW.  Hundreds of food items were collected for distribution on December 3rd.

In addition to the food drive, participants during the meeting wrote personal holiday greeting cards for the troops. Over 100 holiday cards were gathered and mailed to the men and women fighting for our country. Call Center Care pins were presented to all members and guests.

Companies that participated in this outstanding event included:  Aegon, Alliance DMS, CSG Affiliates, DialAmerica, Digital Document Services, Etech Inc., The Heritage Company, Motivated Incentives, On Your Market, Nova1, Premier Vendor, RealCom Solutions, Stream, and Your Sales Leads.

"We are looking forward to some exciting ATA sessions in 2010", said Laurie Alm, President of Motivated Incentives and President-Elect of the South Central Chapter.  Ms. Alm continued "We will be hosting our first ever vendor show-case in May as well as offering sessions in San Antonio and Houston.  Our goal is to continue to provide content rich agendas targeted to both inbound and outbound contact centers."

Additional event details can be found at www.ataconnect.org.  The American Teleservices Association (ATA) is the only non-profit trade organization dedicated exclusively to the advancement of companies that utilize contact centers as an integral channel of operations.
