Dec. 10, 2009 - PRLog -- From the Key West Christmas Parade to the dropping of the slipper on New Year's Eve, FloridaKeysNews will be there before, during and after to report on the Holiday Festivities for readers everywhere.  The redesigned Events area of the website features a clean look, easy to use interactive modules, and expandable event listings so readers can get details about events they're interested in.

Key West is a small city on a tiny island that's only two by four miles, but there are lots and lots of activities throughout the year, for which the improved events section of http://www.floridakeysnews.info will be perfect.  Especially during the Holidays, from early December through January, the list of events and activities is pretty impressive.  Add to that the rest of the Keys, and you have a lot of Florida Keys events to choose from!

The start of holiday events in the Florida Keys is really the Key West Lighted Boat Parade.  It's usually early in December on a Saturday night.  This year it's December 8, and http://www.floridakeysnews.info was there to cover the action.  Even through the rain that persisted all day, the lighted boat parade took place and everyone had fun.  The family event featured things like Santa riding dolphins, with a sleigh pulled by manatees, sea horses, and lighted pelicans.  Kids love that, and adults love the more than $20,000 in prizes!  What a great way to kick off the Holiday season, and the perfect event for launching the new Florida Keys events area of the website.

"We live in Key West part of the time, during winter"  says Mimi Fitzgerald, of Novia Scotia, CA.  She and her husband are retired and have a winter home in Key West.  "The new Florida Keys events area of http://www.floridakeysnews.info is wonderful because it makes it so easy to plan our outings".  Although retired, the couple maintains a very busy schedule with a home business, family and friends, and social events.  They love the ease and time-saving aspects of the interactive events area of the website because it simplifies their lives.

Locals can also learn a thing or two from http://www.floridakeysnews.info.  For example, anyone can get a free ride home and a free tow if they've had too much to drink and can't make it safely home.  This offer extends from Thanksgiving to January 2.  This isn't exactly an event, but it's covered in http://www.floridakeysnews.info, in the events area.  Other websites aren't going to give you that kind of insider information.

To learn more about the new and improved Florida Keys events area, and other great features of this great website, go to http://www.floridakeysnews.info/florida-keys-events.php and catch up on all there is to do.  From the Harbor Walk of Lights to Holiday cooking classes at the VFW, they've got you covered for the Holiday season and beyond.
