Calling All Innkeepers – both Working and Aspiring

Nov. 19, 2009 - PRLog -- LOUISVILLE, KY – The 2010 Tri-State Conference & Exhibitors Showcase, “Inncredible Innkeeping,” is scheduled for January 17-19 at the Historic Conrad-Caldwell House Museum in Louisville, Ky.

Presented by Indiana Bed & Breakfast Assoc., Bed & Breakfast Assoc. of Kentucky and Ohio Bed & Breakfast Assoc., the conference will include educational workshops, an Idea Fair, a Vendor Trade Show and speakers including Jay Karen, president and CEO of the Professional Association of Innkeepers International, and Pamela Lanier, Lanier Publishing International, whose keynotes will cover “Innkeeping Trends.”

Working and aspiring innkeepers are invited to register for the conference and learn about green lodging, how to attract free advertising, why adding gift shops add to the bottom line, creating an interior design scheme on a budget and the how-to’s of special events and wedding planning, among other topics.

Attendees will get hands-on training in triple sheeting, flower arranging, towel folding, toilet paper origami and plate garnishing. Pre-Conference “Aspiring Innkeepers” seminar and Social Media workshop are scheduled for Sun., Jan. 17.

“Aspiring innkeepers will have an exclusive training workshop provided by experienced innkeepers that will provide them with everything they need to know to launch their innkeeping career,” noted Todd Allen, BBAK Marketing & Promotion.
