Prime Air, LLC Names Mike Sopo New Director of Business Development

Nov. 13, 2009 - PRLog -- Skokie, Illinois – Prime Air, LLC – A HEICO Company, a market leader in aviation industry, has today announced it has hired Mike Sopo as the new Director of Business Development.

Mr. Sopo, who had been Director/Manager of Sales (Department of Defense) at Raydon Corporation, will be working directly with the different divisions of Heico to provide a more direct approach to nose to tail support including repair management, parts support and PMA sales.

“Mike Sopo’s extensive business development success in both aviation and defense firms has well prepared him for this role,” noted Barry Cohen, CEO of Prime Air, LLC.  “Mike’s comprehensive understanding of the industry will prove to be a tremendous addition to Prime Air and a valuable resource to our clients.”  

Before joining Prime Air, Mr. Sopo was responsible for increasing the customer base greater than 80%.  Prior to Raydon Corporation,  he worked for Parker Aerospace/Hannifin as their Regional Sales & Marketing Manager, managing sales and maintenance programs and MRO requirements for business jet operations, commercial, helicopter, military and government aircraft.

Mr. Sopo has a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Business/Aviation Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

He will reside with his wife, Elizabeth and new daughter, Camryn in Plantation, Florida and work out of Prime Air’s North Miami Beach location.
