China is rich in talc resource. 15 provinces (areas) in China have talc production. The proved reserves mineral field amount is 43 and total reserves are 0.247 billion tons which rank third in the world.

The proved reserves mineral field amount is 43 and total reserves are 0.247 billion tons which rank third in the world. As the province (area) distribution, Jiangxi is most rich in talc which occupied 30% of whole country reserves. Provinces (areas) of Liaoning, Shandong , Qinghai, Guangxi take second place. Main talc deposit types have carbonate rock such as Liaoning sea area, Shandong Ye Xian, etc and magmatic hydrothermal replacement such as Jiangxi Yudu, Shandong Haiyang. Carbonate rock is of most important and occupied 55% of whole country reserves. The talc mineragenetic epoch is Precambrian, Paleozoic Era and Mesozoic Era take second place.
