Nov. 11, 2009 - PRLog -- In business, the granite is widely refereed as the stone with decorative function and character of hard, acid & alkaline resisting, it can be processed into certain size or natural stone used for arts and crafts, but not the same with geological granite concept. Mainly granite includes magmatic rock, volcanic rock and part of metamorphic rock (such as chorismite, gneiss, etc). Our country is rich in granite resource and has a wide-ranging distribution. The proved reserves mineral fields are more than 180 and total mineral reserves are 1.7 billion cubic meters including granite, andesite, diorite, diabase, amphibolite, basalt, gabbro, serpentinite, peridotite, pyroxenolite, etc. For the area distribution, Shangdong and Beijing have more granite and occupied 23.8% and 18.5% of total reserves in China. The main granite genetic types are magma or volcanic type. The mineragenetic epoch is from Archean Era to Cainozoic Era, part of them went through alteration or metamorphism after later period, and other rocks are sedimentary rock which turned into chorismite or gneiss after hypometamorphic period.
