Follow on Google News | Peace Faire in Red BluffA Peace Faire will be held in conjunction with the World March for Peace as it passes through Red Bluff on December 2nd.
The Peace Faire will feature speakers, art and a variety of political, arts, peace, and environmental groups with Representatives at the Gallery. The art of Stephen Bennett will be featured in the gallery during the Faire. Stephen’s work has just been published on stamps issued by the United Nations. The 18 images depict indigenous people from around the world. Both the stamps and large art prints will be on display at the gallery. The World March for Peace and NonViolence, which started in New Zealand, will pass through New York City, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, San Francisco and then Red Bluff. Red Bluff is the home of the Silo Red Bluff Park for Study and Meditation where the March will rest before it moves onto Portland the next day. The Red Bluff Art Gallery will be filled with representatives from many organizations, including Code Pink, United for Peace & Justice, 1000 Grandmothers, Veterans for Peace, Quaker One Minute for Peace Campaign, and OneWorldOneArt. The Faire is free and open to the public. The purpose is to promote discussion between the public and the different organizations available. Gallery hours are 11 am to 5 pm on Tuesday – Friday and noon til 4 pm on Saturday. Art supplies and art exhibitions are featured at the gallery.
