| Reeling in the years: 70s find their way in new D.L. Shiloh novelTo prep for the writing of his new novel, D.L. Shiloh has shunned all new music and gone back to listening to lite rock of the 70s and 80s. But a little Led Zeppelin has found its way, too.
"I have a cassette tape player in my car and I busted out old tapes," Shiloh said. "I also have iTunes songs and use 8tracks.com for making mixes. As for the book, there's no such thing as a period piece because it is linked through life and time," Shiloh explained. "There's music the main character finds on his own and other music others leads him to. He's 10 years old in 1973. I'm finding a lot of emotional stuff to cull from." Shiloh was closed-lipped when asked to being specific of what will be mentioned in "Waiting for the End", his second novel that's currently in progress, except to say that Led Zeppelin, the Beatles as well as 70s light rock is given a nod - and that two characters attend a Bob Dylan concert. Music is vital to living." # # # Homefield Multimedia is a multimedia group using new media technology, publishing books, CDs and DVDs. End
