By: Publetariat Vault

Nov. 9, 2009 - PRLog -- The Publetariat Vault, the groundbreaking new service that connects successful self-published books with publishers and content producers, today announced the launch of a new, adjunct service: Vault University. From the site:

Here is where the Publetariat Vault provides monthly lessons in self-publishing in print, ebook and podcast formats, author platform and book promotion. Vault lessons in the curriculum of their choice will be free of charge for authors who have published book listings in the Publetariat Vault, to provide Vault authors with the tools they need to strengthen their books and pump up their author platform and sales.

Authors who do not wish to list with the Vault can subscribe to a Vault University curriculum for $5 per month. Given that every single lesson is filled with concrete how-to’s authors can immediately put to use to save them hours of time and hundreds or even thousands of dollars, enrollment in Vault U. is an investment that more than pays for itself. See this sample lesson to get a better idea of the quality and depth of information you can expect from Vault U. Also note, there’s no lengthy commitment required, paid enrollment will be on a month-to-month basis and can be cancelled at any time.

All lessons are presented in plain English, with clear, step-by-step directions that don’t assume the reader is a tech whiz. Lessons are also written with the assumption that affordability is a factor for most authors, and strive to give authors the tools and information they need to get top-tier results on a budget. We’ll be offering two curricula:

Publishing
The Publishing curriculum is for authors who are self-publishing for the first time, have already self-published but had a disappointing experience and want to do things better the next time, or have already self-published in one format (print, ebook or podcast) and want to learn how to branch out into publication in other formats. This curriculum will cover everything from manuscript formatting to editing, from getting the best cover and interior design to writing an effective brief description for your cover, from choosing a publisher to publishing in print, electronic and podcast (audiobook) formats and more.

Author Platform/Promotion
The Author Platform/Promotion curriculum is for authors who are already publishing in every format they want, and feel their books are as strong as they can be in terms of quality, but need help with running the business side of things and promoting themselves and their books. This curriculum covers dealing with finances, calculating and tracking expenses and income, establishing a strong author brand, setting up author websites and blogs, how to use social media, working every possible Amazon angle and more.
