Nov. 6, 2009 - PRLog -- Los Angeles, CA, Cologne, Germany -- On November 27th, the German-language television talk show, Planet Wissen, will air a one-hour segment featuring the Los Angeles-based actor, Thomas Mikusz, as their special guest.  Alongside novelist, Eckhart Schmidt, Thomas will be questioned about his successes and struggles in Hollywood and the Entertainment Industry under the topic “Hollywood – Myth and Reality”.

Planet Wissen hosts, Brigitte Pavetic and Andreas Korn will question Thomas on the myths of success and failures Germans face while working in Hollywood.  During his interview, the show’s hosts will showcase moments of his acting career and display and discuss photos from his modeling career.  The studio flew Mikusz to Germany for filming on October 19th and 20th.  The segment will air on the following German networks: WDR, SWR, 1plus, and BR-alpha.  For more information on Planet Wissen, visit www.planet-wissen.de

Due to his acting success, Mikusz was also featured on the extremely popular German station RTL during their top-rated show, “EXTRA”, and the heavily watched Taiwanese Station TVBS. “EXTRA” followed Mikusz for three weeks in the Spring of 2009.  They collected footage of Thomas at auditions, working out, meeting with his agent and expressing his opinion on the state of the Entertainment Industry.  TVBS did a special on the economy and its effect on Hollywood and Thomas was kind enough to let them into his home and interview him about his thoughts.  In the feature, Mikusz remarks how “[in America] if you want to make it, you can make it, and I believe you still can.”  Along with Mikusz, Variety Magazine was interviewed for the feature.  To view the TVBS special and see his special on RTL, please visit www.ThomasMikusz.com.
Mikusz has worked in Theater, Film and Television all over Austria, Germany and the U.S.  He now lives in Los Angeles where his talents have been put to use on the CBS television series “The Unit”, on NBC’s “Passions” and “Days of Our Lives”, Sony studio’s “Star-Ving” and as General von Gelhen in the award-winning feature film “Intelligence” (featuring Milo Ventimiglia).  His U.S. theatre credits include the Los Angeles Theater Production of “Spring Awakening” by Frank Wedekind, the world premiere of “Antisemitropolis” and the award-winning production of “I Am A Camera” at the New Theater in Miami (home of the 2003 Pulitzer Prize). His voice can be heard in commercials, animations and the upcoming RockStar video game, “Red Dead Redemption”.

All these outlets are drawn to Thomas Mikusz due to his talents but also his fascinating life.  At 16, his literate work about the Holocaust earned him major awards in competitions throughout Europe, including an invitation to visit Yad Vashem in Israel.  Mikusz has traveled extensively all over the world including an inspiring trip to India where he performed a solo song on Christmas morning in front of over 10,000 audience members.
