PRLog -- Yazdi Bharucha is the chief financial officer and secretary of Canadian Apartment Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (CAPREIT), one of Canada’s largest landlords, owning freehold interests in multi-unit residential properties including apartments, buildings, town houses, and land lease communities that are located in or near major urban centers. Yazdi was one of the REIT’s original founders twelve years ago and currently plays an active role in all of its financing, financial reporting, acquisitions, corporate governance, and investor relations activities. He is a chartered accountant (CA) and has devoted his career to the Canadian REIT industry, specifically to CAPREIT. Yazdi attributes his success to exemplary performance and to being an established team leader who provides guidance, mentoring, and value-added assistance to all financial and operational managers. In his spare time, he frequently gives back to the community by volunteering for charitable organizations in Toronto, Ontario. He also enjoys international travel and continues his passion to learn more about new places in the world. In the future, after his retirement, he hopes to be actively involved in other multi-family real estate projects and also play the role of an advisor and consultant to the REIT industry.
