Leger researched missing children and found 97% of the 800,000 missing American children each year are returned home safely; but there are some who never return home, and seemingly vanish from existence.  "Who follows those cases?  What really happens to them?"  While Leger’s portrayal of what happens to some of these children is fictional, he wonders whether his idea is really that impossible.  "The daily news has taught us if it can happen it will happen.  The Milk Market suggests that when lust for children meets greed, there will be children at risk."
