Willis A. Smith Construction, Inc.’s Building to be Displayed at USGBC Greenbuild 2009 Conference

Local green leader to showcase sustainable project at international conference
 
Nov. 2, 2009 - PRLog -- Willis A. Smith Construction, Inc. was asked by the U. S. Green Building Council (USGBC)  to submit their project, the Willis A. Smith Construction, Inc.  LEED® Gold Certified Sustainable Headquarters Building, for inclusion in the 2009 LEED Project Gallery that will be displayed at this year’s Greenbuild International Conference and Expo. The outstanding construction selections chosen by the USGBC will be showcased in the LEED Project Gallery, which is shown during the entirety of the conference in the main concourse of the convention center.

“It was an honor to be asked by the USGBC to have our headquarters building included in this year’s project gallery,” explained David Sessions, LEED® AP, President of Willis A. Smith Construction, Inc. He continued, “When I first attended Greenbuild four years ago, I never thought one of our projects would be out on display. We are fortunate to share our pride and experience of this project with the attendees of the conference.”

The U.S. Green Build Council’s Greenbuild International Conference & Expo is a three day summit that focuses on the green building industry. Workshops, educational programming and exhibitions engage attendees on what is new in green building. This year’s conference takes place November 11-13, 2009, in Phoenix, Arizona.
